Q. How much does a typical project cost?

A.  It's the most asked question, and the most difficult to answer. With so many variables on a project—timeline, complexity, product feasibility, scheduling, just to name a few—it's difficult to give a straight-up response. When building a proposal for a client, there are many factors to consider: Is this a brand new product? Is it in a new format or flavor? How quickly can suppliers ship ingredients? Do you have a manufacturer? Knowns and unknowns aside, we'll say this: when most things run smoothly, projects typically range between $15K and $100K.

Q. How long do projects typically take?

A. See above. Again, there are many variables that affect a project's duration. However, the timeline is typically 6 to 12 months from ideation to market launch.

Q. What are your core services?

A. We specialize in formula development, process improvement, product innovation, quality assurance, product testing, and certifications. In layman's terms, we'll take your idea and turn it into a tangible product that looks and tastes great. We'll also walk you through the production phase, ensuring your product can be efficiently produced and make it to the shelf. What don't we do? We don't manufacture, distribute, or package products. Q. Why should I work with you?

A. We're an innovative, reliable, and extremely knowledgeable team, and we think of ourselves—and function as—an extension of your brand. We love our jobs and the natural foods space, so we use thoughtfulness and intention in the development of your products. We'll do whatever it takes to deliver a stellar experience, from concept to market.

We love working with a diverse group of clients, and we do our best work when it's a harmonious fit for both parties. Schedule some time to Ask a Food Scientist your questions or start a conversation.

Q. What COVID health and safety precautions do you have in place?

A. Working with edible products, the health and safety of our team and our clients has always come first - and COVID is no different. The first step we took at the very start of the covid lockdown was upgrading the ventilation in our office and large bench-top development area with HEPA filters. Additionally, we wear gloves when working and thoroughly clean our spaces before and after product development. We also follow local and state guidelines when it comes to mask mandates; however, if clients have a site visit, and masks are not being required locally, we will honor the client's needs and mask up when desired. Feel free to reach out to us if you have specific questions!
